Can’t use % in items.

Can’t use % in items. I use this one; perf_counter[\PhysicalDisk(_Total)\% Disk Time] and it works just fine in 1.1.7 but after upgrade to 1.4 I get this message when I apply the template to a host.
Key should contain '[]0-9a-zA-Z!_,)+.*\ $'- characters only.

No message when created..
